Access compassionate cancer care with exceptional results
This year, over 300,000 women will hear the life-altering words “you have breast cancer.” It’s a sentence that can shatter worlds, leaving you with a whirlwind of emotions—fear, uncertainty, anxiety, and overwhelming thoughts.
If you’re dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis and have access to the Carrum Health cancer care benefit, Carrum Health is here for you. We work with some of the top cancer centers in the country, dedicated to ensuring you receive the highest-quality, comprehensive, and compassionate care available.
Here’s how it works
It all starts with making sure you have the correct diagnosis. We’ll arrange an expert second opinion—at no cost to you—from a team of leading cancer specialists. They will review your records and outline the best treatment plan based on the most up-to-date research and innovative options. This could include clinical trials and new treatments that may be more effective than standard treatment options. This service is fully covered and often provided online, allowing you to remain in the comfort of your own home.
What’s covered
Depending on your diagnosis and location, if you’ve been diagnosed with first-time, non-metastatic breast cancer, you may also be eligible for the Carrum Health treatment program. Coverage may include:
- surgery
- breast reconstruction
- chemotherapy
- radiation therapy,
- symptom management
- nutrition support
- access to support groups
- financial support including potential surgery travel costs and stipends
If any travel is necessary for your surgery, depending on your location, it may be covered for you and a travel companion—including airfare, hotels, meals, and even a rental car.
Support every step of the way
As every patient has a unique and specialized treatment plan, you’ll also have access to two years of virtual support from oncology-certified nurses, helping you understand your treatment details, potential side effects, and how to prepare for procedures.
Additionally, you’ll be assigned a Carrum care navigator, available by phone or mobile chat, to guide you through the entire process—from start to finish, providing logistical support and a clear roadmap of what’s next.
As a member of Carrum Health, if you need cancer care, you’ll never feel alone.
*With the exception of second opinions, individuals enrolled in a high-deductible plan must first meet their deductible, but oftentimes copays and coinsurance will be waived. Second opinions are typically provided at no cost to members and do not require payment of any deductible. Per IRS rules, a portion of any covered travel expenses will be reported as taxable income to the covered member.
