You will be responsible for leading Carrum Health’s self-insured employer sales function by driving rapid client growth and revenue-generating opportunities. This leadership role will build a winning go-to-market strategy for acquiring employer clients through direct and distribution partner (e.g., broker and benefit consultant) channels. You will source demand for Carrum’s product, cultivate relationships with employers and channel partners, close deals and take full ownership of sales targets and results.

Your Impact

  • Own revenue growth by designing and executing Carrum’s sales strategy
  • Autonomously identify, engage, scope, and execute sales opportunities with sophisticated buyers
  • Lead the sales process including phone/web/in-person meetings, follow-through, contracting, and transition to implementation teams
  • Institutionalize best practices and process improvements to decrease sales cycle time and cost to acquire new clients
  • Establish mechanisms to effectively manage and report on the sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with the CEO to reflect the company’s vision for growth and expansion into an actionable sales plan
  • Provide substantial strategic leadership and guidance within the company
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure effective messaging of Carrum’s value proposition, product features and partnership expectations to new clients
  • Drive Carrum’s market expansion by continuously recruiting and developing top sales talent

You Will Excel If You Have

  • 8+ years sales experience with 3+ years in a management or formal leadership role at VP or Director level
  • Track record of scaling revenue from <$10M to over $50M
  • Deep experience in building and scaling national sales teams while continuing to be at the forefront of the sales process
  • Extensive experience selling into large employer groups (5000+ employees), either directly or through channel partners (e.g., brokers and benefit consultants)
  • Impeccable customer focus and professionalism. Proactively asserts, clarifies and validates client needs on an ongoing basis
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and successfully implementing sales and marketing strategy (e.g., customer segmentation, sales process and organization design, performance management and sales incentives)
  • Expertise in all aspects of the sales process including: performing initial outreach, developing relationships, negotiating and closing contracts, and managing ongoing relationships
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills; able to engage with all levels of an organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
